The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces the result of the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam given by the Board of Accountancy in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Tacloban and Tuguegarao on October 6, 7 and 13, 2018. The said examinations were given by the Professional Regulatory Board of Accountancy (BoA) headed by its Chairman, Joel L. Tan-Torres and its members, Gloria T. Baysa, Samuel B. Padilla, Arlyn Juanita S. Villanueva, Thelma S. Ciudadano, Marko Romeo L. Fuentes and Gervacio.
CPA Board Exam Result
According to PRC, a total of 3,616 out of 14,358 examinees (25.18%) passed the Certified Public Accountant Licensure Exam held on October 6, 7 & 13, 2018 at different testing centers nationwide. The results are released on October 22, 2018, exactly 6 working days after the last day of exam.

Online Initial Registration Application and Requirements
After passing the examination, the next step is to undergo initial registration before taking your oath as a certified public accountant. To accomplish the initial registration, follow our PRC online registration guide to help you through the online application process.
Here are the registration requirements:
- Notice of Admission (NOA) – for identification purposes
- Duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
- Passport-sized ID Photos in white background and with complete name tag (2 pieces)
- Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
- Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)
PRC added that successful examinees shall personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.
On May 2018, 2,843 out of 9,830 examinees hurdled the CPA Board Exam. Jayson Ong Chan clinched the top spot with a rating of 92.50%. He was followed by Jomari Jess Sacendoncillo Abellar having a rating of 91.67%. Both topnotchers hailed from Saint Paul School of Professional Studies – PALO. On the other hand, De La Salle University-Manila got the top spot in the list of top performing schools having 90.11% overall passing rate followed by the University of San Carlos having 83.72%.
