The Philippine Navy has recently launched the CY 2023 recruitment drive in order to increase its manpower and strengthen its ability to protect the country’s territorial waters. They are looking for highly motivated individuals willing to serve the country and contribute to its national security.

The Philippine Navy is a vital branch of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) responsible for safeguarding the country’s maritime interests, securing its territorial waters, and maintaining maritime peace and order. With ongoing territorial disputes in the West Philippine Sea and the ever-present threat of terrorism, the Philippine Navy requires an expansion of its fleet and manpower to improve operational readiness and capability.

The Philippine Navy will conduct the first leg of mobile recruitment for CY2023. This recruitment drive will be conducted aboard Naval Operating Forces to cater to applicants for the Naval Candidate Course (NOCC) and Sailor Basic Course (SBC).

Qualifications

To join the Naval Officer Candidate Course, you must meet the following criteria:

  • At least 21 years old but not a day older than 27 years old on the date of admission;
  • Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character.
  • The applicant must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 centimeters or 5.0′ for both male and female.*
  • You must be single and with no child to support.
  • Must not have any pending civil/criminal case.
  • Has completed a baccalaureate degree (preferably a technical course)..
  • Must pass the Physical Fitness Test

If you want to join the Sailor/Marine Basic Course, you must possess the following  qualifications:

  • At least 18 years old but not a day older than 26 years old on the date of admission;
  • Must be a natural-born Filipino citizen and of good moral character.
  • The applicant must have a barefoot height of not less than 152.4 centimeters or 5.0′ for both male and female.*
  • You must be single and with no child to support.
  • Must not have any pending civil/criminal case.
  • Has completed 12 years of basic education under K to 12 or has at least 72 units of collegiate course from a government-recognized educational institution. Applicants who completed a technical course in TESDA are also encouraged to apply;
  • Must pass the Physical Fitness Test

NOCC:

  1. A fully-accomplished application form
  2. PSA Birth Certificate.
  3. Transcript of Records

SBC:

  1. Diploma or;
  2. Transcript of Records or;
  3. TESDA NCII Certifcate
  4. PSA Birth Certificate

Benefits of Being an Officer/Enlisted Personnel

As a naval officer of the Philippine Navy, you can earn as much of Php 45, 416.00 while on training as Officer Candidate (OC) and Php 51, 679.00 upon graduation with the rank of Ensign. If you opt to become enlisted personnel, earn as much as Php 25, 637.00 while on training as Candidate Soldier(CS) and Php 37, 338.00 upon graduation with the rank of Apprentice Seaman(ASN. On top of that, you will have the chance to study abroad with good compensation and allowance. You can also avail yourself of the local scholarships in PN accredited colleges and universities for your graduate education.

Elow po. Gusto ko po sana mag apply as an officer kaso nabago na pala yung age limit. Disqualified na po ba talaga ang age na 27 sa pag take ng exam sa officer? O meron pa pong chance? Meron po akong international ship experience na 2 yrs at kukuha ng OIC license.
