Last year, PLDT Home joined forces with the renowned video streaming service, Lionsgate Play, bringing unlimited access to their content to select PLDT Home subscribers. With the exclusive voucher, we were granted complimentary access to the Lionsgate Play service, without any additional charges, until June 1, 2023.
If you have availed of the Lionsgate Play free trial, you have until June 30, 2023, to cancel the subscription. After the trial ends, your subscription will be automatically renewed at Php 79 per month unless canceled by June 30, 2023.
How to Cancel the Lionsgate Play Subscription?
Since you availed of the Lionsgate Play service via a PLDT Home voucher, the cancellation cannot be done directly through the Lionsgate Play app or website. Instead, you must contact the PLDT hotline 171 or visit the PLDT website to cancel the service before it auto-renews.
To cancel the service using the PLDT website, visit https://pldthome.com/lionsgate-play-opt-out. Fill out the form with your 10-digit account number and name. Enter the required captcha code then tick the box to accept the Terms of Service. Check if all the information is correct then hit the submit button.
A confirmation message will appear telling you that you have already unsubscribed from the LionsGatePlay service.
If you opt to call the PLDT hotline 171, remember that only the account holder has the authority to cancel the subscription. Assigning another person to cancel it on your behalf is not possible. This PLDT policy aims to ensure that account holders have control over their subscription choices.

The link doesnt work anymore. There’s no option to cancel subscription in the 171 hotline either. It’s frustrating for PLDT to make it this difficult to unsubscribe. Will not be availing lionsgate play anymore after this, it’s an underhanded move.

Hello! I also had this problem. I think i was able to resolve mine. I just went to pldthome.com/support then go to clarify bill charges. Then choose inquire about bill details. Just follow through the process. I wrote my concern as “There’s an additional charge of 79 pesos. We would like to unsubscribe to the LionsgatePlay”. After a few minutes pldt emailed me that they’ve processed my request for cancellation.
