February 2024 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Exam Result

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) released the February 2024 Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination result today, February 27, 2024. The list of the top ten examinees was also included in the release three (3) working days after the last day of the examination.

On February 20, 21, and 22, 2024, the Mechanical Engineering Board Exam was conducted at several testing centers located in the NCR, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, and Zamboanga. It was administered by the PRC Board of Mechanical Engineering, headed by its Chairman, Engr. Leandro A. Conti, and its members, Engr. Jerico T. Borja and Engr. Lorenzo P. Larion.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 4,458 out of 6,770 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination. Congratulations to the passers!

Initial Registration and Requirements

Starting April 5, 2024, the registration for the issuance of a Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will be done online and only accessible through an online appointment. The PRC will also release the schedule for the online appointment along with the list of passers. Here are the registration requirements:

  • Notice of Admission (NOA) for identification purposes
  • Duly completed Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal
  • Passport-sized ID Photos on a white background with a complete name tag (2 pieces)
  • Documentary Stamps (2 sets)
  • Short Brown Envelope (1 piece)

The official date of the oath-taking ceremony for the newly-registered mechanical engineers will be announced later.

Previous Exam

The PRC regularly conducts the Mechanical Engineering Licensure Examination twice a year, usually in the months of February and August. It has a decent number of examinees and also has a decent passing rate among other programs.

In August 2023, 2,133 out of 4,237 passed the Mechanical Engineers Licensure Examination. The result was released four working days after the examination. Mr. Roy Christian Pasco Oro from the Cebu Institute of Technology clinched the top spot with a rating of 94.60%. Trailing behind is Mr. Rowill Christian Rodriguez Rempillo from the University of the Philippines—Diliman, with a rating of 93.60%. Meanwhile, De La Salle University-Manila was the top performing school with an impressive passing rate of 96.88%.
