Republic Act No. 11934, also known as the SIM Registration Act of 2022, was signed into law by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to protect the public from crimes, scams, and fraud committed through SIMs, the internet, or other electronic communication channels. Under this law, all current and future mobile subscribers are required to register their SIM cards through their respective telco providers. Existing users must complete registration to avoid deactivation, while new subscribers need to register before their SIMs can be activated.
If you’re using a Smart SIM—whether you’re a Smart Prepaid, Postpaid, Smart Bro, TNT, or Enterprise user—here’s how you can get started with your registration to stay compliant with the law.
How to Register Smart SIM Card (Prepaid)
All Smart Prepaid, Smart Bro, and TNT subscribers must register through https://smart.com.ph/simreg. You can use your computer or mobile phone to visit the page. However, you may experience lag when using low-end devices, which is why we recommend using a computer with a good internet connection. At times, the website may be inaccessible due to heavy traffic. Given the heavy demand, you could try registering at off-peak hours.
1. Access the Registration Portal
Using a computer with a good internet connection and your favorite browser, go to https//smart.com.ph/simreg. Enter your mobile number in the box then tick the box to accept the Terms and Conditions. Tap the Send OTP button to generate an OTP. Make sure you have the SIM card inserted into a mobile device to receive the generated OTP.

Once you receive the OTP, enter the code in the space provided, then tap the Verify OTP button. A confirmation message will pop up, letting you know that your mobile number has been successfully verified. Close the message by clicking the X icon, and you’ll be automatically redirected to the customer information page.
2. Fill out the Customer Information page
Use the drop-down menu to select your type of registration. Next, click the ID Card drop-down and choose the valid ID you’ll be using for the process. Upload a clear scanned copy or photo of your selected ID, along with a selfie to verify your identity. Make sure your uploads are clear and do not exceed 5MB in size. Accepted file formats are JPG, JPEG, or PNG.

Enter the other personal details in the spaces provided, then click the next button to proceed to the next step.
3. Fill out the Address Information Form
Fill in all the required address details, making sure they match the address on your valid ID. Use the drop-down menus to select your province, city or town, and barangay. Once you’ve entered the necessary information, your ZIP code will be filled in automatically.

Enter an alternate phone number or email address. Smart requires this information in case they need to validate the information you’ve provided. To move on to the next phase, click the next button.
4. Check for the Veracity of the Information Provided
You’ll now see a summary of all the information you’ve entered during the registration process. Take a moment to review everything carefully and check for any spelling mistakes or incorrect details. Once you’ve verified everything, tick the box to confirm that you personally completed the registration and that all the information provided is true, accurate, and correct. If you’d like to receive promotional messages from SMART, you can also check the optional box for that.

Click the NEXT button to finish your registration.
5. Your SMART SIM Registration is now complete!
A thank you message will appear on the next page. Take note of the control number displayed—this serves as your official proof of registration. It’s a good idea to write it down or take a screenshot and save it to your device for future reference.

If you have another SIM to register, click the Register Another SIM button then follow all the steps above.
How to Register a Postpaid Smart SIM
Since postpaid subscribers have already provided their information during their application, their details are already stored in the TELCO’s database. If you’re a postpaid user, there’s no need to register your SIM online. Instead, you’ll receive a notification asking for your confirmation to allow Smart to register your SIM using the information and valid ID already on file.
Smart will send you a text message requesting your consent to proceed with the registration on your behalf. To confirm, simply reply YES to 5858. After that, wait for a confirmation message letting you know that your postpaid SIM has been successfully registered.

In case you need to change any of those details, contact them on their hotline or visit the nearest Smart Store to update your information in their database.
