Every Filipino professional is required by law to renew his/her PRC license to continue practicing his profession here in the Philippines. The PRC license renewal is done every three years, usually on the birth month of the license holder. In the past, renewing a professional identification card (PIC) is done using the manual process where you have to fill up an application form, pay the corresponding fee, show the old ID, then wait for weeks or even months to get your new ID. Nowadays, most of the renewal process is done online since the PRC is now fully utilizing the Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS V2). However, the PRC’s online renewal method is like a double-edged sword; it provides convenience and hassle-free services, but others may view it as an additional burden, especially for elderly professionals.
Some people are not that proficient in using computers or doing transactions online. To address this issue, we decided to create this PRC Online Renewal guide to help people who are facing difficulties in using the LERIS V2.
PRC Online Renewal Requirements
In compliance with the Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Act Of 2016, the PRC is now requiring every professional to present earned CPD units before the renewal of Professional Identification Cards. Professionals renewing their professional ID cards must provide the original and photocopy of certificates of credit units earned. However, you can still renew your Professional Identification Card (PIC) by executing an affidavit of undertaking. The renewal of PRC IDs without full CPD Compliance is accepted until December 31, 2022.
PRC Renewal Step-by-Step Guide
This process utilizes the new online renewal system of the Professional Regulation Commission. It requires a computer with an internet connection and a basic knowledge of computer operations. If you have difficulties using a computer, have someone do it for you.
1. Prepare the following information before you start:
- An email address you can access. Do not use random email addresses created using email generators.
- Your mobile phone number.
- Your personal data, birthday, date of graduation, etc.
- A soft copy of your recent 2 x 2 picture, taken no more than 6 months prior to PRC license renewal. It must be on a plain white background with the applicant wearing a decent attire with a collar in the photo. The ears must be visible and the photo must be well-lit with no shadows. Please, do not disregard this photo requirement. Compliance with the photo requirements will avoid delay or disapproval of your PRC online renewal application.
2. For a more convenient online application, use a computer or a tablet with internet connectivity instead of a mobile phone. Using a browser of your choice, access the online portal at http://online.prc.gov.ph.
3. If you are doing this for the first time, register and create an account. If you have already an account, skip this step and jump to Step #4. To register for an account:
- Go to the REGISTER TAB, read the Terms of Service then click the AGREE button to proceed.
- Fill out the form to create your account using an email address you have access to. Use the drop-down menu to complete the required information.
- Click the REGISTER button to create your account. A notification will appear indicating that you successfully registered an account.
- Activate your account by accessing the email account you used during the registration. Look for and open the email sent by PRC then click “Activate Account” in the email to verify your account.
4. Sign in to your account using the log-in details you registered in the previous step. After clicking the sign-in button, it will redirect to a page where you have to complete your personal information. Fill it out with the pertinent information. The First and Last Name should be exactly the same as the PRC ID due for renewal. Tick the ” CHECK IF THIS IS FOR RENEWAL” box. Click the Save Information button at the bottom of the page to save your profile.
5. A pop-up confirmation window will appear. Check if all the information is correct before clicking the YES button.
6. Upload a digital copy of your 2×2 photo. (Please see step 1 for the photo requirements)
7. After uploading the required picture, click the SELECT TRANSACTION button on the upper-right corner of the screen. A pop-up window will appear asking you to select your transaction. Choose the RENEWAL tab, select your profession from the drop-down menu, enter your 7-digit PRC license number then click the PROCEED button.
8. Choose the PRC Office where you intend to claim your PRC ID. Select your preferred appointment date and payment option. If you want to pay the renewal fee personally, choose the PRC cashier option, otherwise select the Landbank, UCPB or GCASH option. Please take note that the validation of bank payments will be after 2 to 3 working days. If you want faster validation, choose the GCASH option instead. After the payment has been validated, you will now be able to print your application form/claim stub.
If you opt to pay the fee via the PRC cashier on your chosen appointment date, just provide a screenshot of the reference number as proof that you have an existing appointment schedule.
Update: Starting on 28 June 2019, the Professional Regulation Commission announces that its Online Services already accept payments via Paymaya thru Mastercard, VISA, JCB ( Debit/Credit Cards), and Pay by Paymaya (with Paymaya Accounts).
Let me remind you that starting March 06, 2018, onwards, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) Central Office will move the processing of the Renewal of Professional Identification Card (PIC) to the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City. If you are planning to renew your PIC at the central office in Manila, choose the PICC instead as your appointment place.
9. To print the claim stub, click the EXISTING TRANSACTIONS tab and verify your status. Click the PRINT CLAIMING STUB option.
10. If you have a printer connected to your computer, click the PRINTER button to print the PRC license claim slip. You can also save it to a flash drive if you intend to print it later.
11. Do not forget to log out of your session especially if you are using public computers. Doing so will prevent others from accessing your account and to protect yourself from fraud, identity theft, and other malicious intent.
Claiming your PRC License
Prepare the following items before going to the PRC Office on your appointment date:
- Original and one (1) photocopy of certificates indicating the CPD units acquired.
- The original and a photocopy of the expiring ID license
- Printed Application for Professional Identification Card
Upon arrival at the PRC Office, go to the validation counter and have your certificates verified. Next, proceed to the ID Renewal personnel and submit all the required documents. The final part of your PRC license renewal is the waiting game. Don’t worry, your brand new license will be released within the day. In my wife’s case when she had to renew her license at the PRC Main Office in Manila, it took her an hour to get her license. But I guess it all depends on the processing time of the branch and the number of applicants.
How to Renew the PRC License Abroad?
Renewing your Professional Identification Card has never been easier especially if you are working abroad. For OFWs who are renewing their PRC licenses, just follow the procedure above. Just ask a representative to settle the payment on your behalf.
Claim the PRC ID through a representative. If your proxy is a PRC-registered professional, ask him to bring his valid PRC ID and authorization letter. Otherwise, a Special Power of Attorney (SPA) and his valid ID are needed to claim your renewed Professional Identification Card.

This is regarding the CPD units. Last Feb 2023 po, i had a renewal of PRC ID (from year 2020) and i declared 0 units and signed an undertaking to complete credit units.
However, late ko na narealize na i took a training with certain number of CPD units last 2021 na dapat pasok siya sa renewal ko for year 2023. Will that be accounted on the next renewal in year 2026?

Good afternoon po. I am Mark Anthony S. Bartolome from Occidental Mindoro a licensed teacher and currently working at OMSC. I would like to ask for if I can still be able to get my Renewed ID earlier on my transaction date on May 3, 2019 at POOEA Ortigas. As a matter of fact I was supposed be there just last friday to claim my ID because that was my earlier transaction. When I planned to reschedule it just a while ago due to some reasonable cause, the website require me to re-register my account and so i did. And when I tried to look for my existing transaction scheduled on April 12 at POOEA Ortigas, it suddenly disappeared. What I did was I tried to registered again expecting that it could still be recovered and moved but I was scheduled on another month and day which will be on May 3 on the same address. My final question is, can I be able to get my renewed ID and authenticate it at the same time within this coming week though I am scheduled on May 3?

Kung ang representative mo is also a PRC license holder, authorization letter at ID nya. Kung hindi naman, Special Power of Attorney and his/her ID ang kailangan.

I was able to renew my license in no less than an hour! I have not acquired my CPD units yet that’s why you need to present your certificate of undertaking which I will mention below. Sharing to you what I did:
1. Register online and set an appointment. I chose OTC payment because others who paid online still required validation when they presented on the day of appointment. (They don’t process walk-in transactions.)
2. Prior to my scheduled appointment, I printed my Application for Professional Identification Card. To do this:
a. Log-in to your PRC account.
b. Click, Existing Transaction. (Screenshot the reference # bec this will be needed before the payment)
c. Below the screen, click, Print Document.
d. Download the file, Application for Professional Identification Card, and print it.
3. On the day of my appointment, wait for your queue to be called and pay the amount.
4. Proceed to the Renewal window and present the ff:
a. Application for Professional Identification Card
b. Photocopy and original PRC ID
c. Proof of payment
5. Wait for your name to be called and claim your PRC license.
* I processed mine here in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

hi! just came back from PRC’s satellite branch sa POEA. Expired at nawawala din license ko. nagdala ako ng affidavit of loss just in case hanapin, pero hindi naman nirequire. sayang 200 ko sa notaryo. hehe. Guys hindi din hiningi yung dala kong Affidavit of Undertaking since zero CPD units earned ako. So another sayang na 200 sa notaryo. hehe. Nakuha ko license in less than 5mins.

Submit the Change of Status Form and Renewal Form along with the requirements then wait for 2 to 3 months. Kung nabago na sa system ng PRC, mag-online application ka using your married name.

Hello! I need your help po! My PRC license expired since 2017 and I am experiencing difficulty for renewal being an OFW. Now that I am here in Philippines, I have tried to apply online for renewal but it says “YOU STILL HAVE 237 day(s) LEFT REQUIRED BEFORE YOU CAN RENEW YOUR PRC ID.”
The required days to wait is way to long and before reaching that 237 days I have to leave the country again for work.

Ask ko lang po I paid thru UCPB and took 2-3 days clearing p pla. I was able to access the website successfully almost jan 16 around 12AM and paid my dues same day lunch time and I book my appointment Jan 17. Now I went to PRC at Clark Pampanga and told the lady at the counter that my payment is still pending and she just told me wait for it to be cleared and paid then print the form. My Question is do I need to rebook my appointment to another day or il just go there and present the jan 17 which is date appointment printed in my application form. If I need to resched my appointment how do I access the new appointment date? Hope to hear from you. God bless.

PRC Davao sucks! Accrdng to the website the address is not updated. Waiting time for renewal takes long time. I went to the PRC at 12noon because my sched is in PM, I was accomodated in the cashier at 2pm and the people waiting are not that long. Almost 5pm, still waiting for the release of my ID.
* The cashier told me to wait in the counter 5 and wait for my name to be called, after more than 2 hrs of waiting I went to check in the counter 5 if my name was called because the one who are calling the applicants name isn’t very clear and counter 5 told me to go to counter 1or2, so I went to counter 1 and 2 and they just told me to wait my name to be called. More than 3 hrs of waiting now…. PRC davao (near SM) so disappointing.

Here to post for information I learned today from my experience at PRC service center. Hopefully, this will be of help for some people.
1. Opt for GCASH payment as it will save you from the long line of PRC cashier and from having to rent a computer at a shop to access the LERIS and print the form.
2. Bank payment is very unreliable as of now. I met a few people who paid thru OTC of UCPB and ended up not being able to print out the form because the status of their payment doesn’t update even after 2-3 working days after payment. Their appointment was still valid so they came anyway. They got assisted by the staff at the service center after they gave their receipts to them. It was eventually processed by the PRC staff, it’s just they had to go out and find a computer shop to have the form printed out.
3. Service center I went to doesn’t have a legal division to accredit self-directed learning certificates (these are the certificates we get from seminars that are not CPD accredited or DEPED recognized). They advise to go to PICC to process the certificates.
4. Bring CPD accredited or DEPED recognized certificates, both original and photocopy, to gain points.
5. Bring a laptop with you to save you from having to rent a computer in case you weren’t able to print out the form before your appointment. Once you log in into the LERIS PRC account (after refreshing the page more than 20x), all you need is to find a computer shop to print the form.
In spite of all the stress and hassle, I’m very thankful for the staff at the PRC service center, as they were patient enough to answer any concerns and questions. When it comes to logging in into the LERIS, they really can’t do anything about it, since they’re not the ones who have control at the website. Nevertheless, hats off to the staff at PRC for being patient and helpful.

Kakatapos ko lang mag renew. Posting this so para sa mga mag rerenew ay matulungan, commonly occured problems na ma encountered.
1.PAYMENT:
A. As much as possible wag na magbayad sa UCPB since napaka alanganin na ma receive ang payment because it will take 2-3 days pa. May narinig pa ako na umabot daw ng 4 days.
B. Sa PRC na mismo ang payment? NOPE. I recommend na wag na din kayo mag over the counter since mag pa print pa din kayo ng form! Ma hassle pa kayo kasi maghahanap pa kayo ng pag printan and whats more, di ganun ka dali mag access ng web.
C. May kakilala ako na nag GCASH na lang siya at mabilis naman nareceive sa database nila, then print na agad ng form.
2.APPLICATION FORM
A. Pumunta ako doon madami nagsasabi na bayad na daw sila thru UCPB and showing their receipts and the PRC staffs there still don’t accept it and you still need to print the said form?
B. Same applies to their reference number but still need to print the form ??
3.CPD UNITS
A. Yung pumunta ako doon hindi sila ganun ka strict pa sa CPD, kahit wala pa CPD pwede pa.
4.REQUIREMENTS
A. Sa pinuntahan ko ang pinakita ko lang is yung application form and yung photocopy lang ng seminars. Or if wala ka pang seminars yung Forn lang okay na.
5.BEST TIME to ONLINE?
Can’t really say kasi kahit ako madaling araw pa din pinapatos ko na napaka bagal pa din. Pero mas much higher chance if that time nag online for accessing the website. Tiyaga lang din, wala tayo magagawa eh.
So bakit daw mabagal? Madami daw nag aapply na mga teachers ngayon mga halos wala pa daw sa expected ng kalahati ang nakakapasok ng applications. So expect daw na mga next week they will be much more busy daw. So brace yourself for the coming days. At sabi daw nila aayusin ang server nila ?. Pero ayun nga mga kababayan ko tiyaga tiyaga lang tayo at kung magalit man tayo sa kanila sa PRC staffs doon di naman nila kasalanan at wala naman sila magagawa kasi malamang yung may pakana sa taas ang walang kamalay malay sa nangyayari sa ating paghihirap na mag renew.
I agree dun sa GCASH option of payment. May nakausap ako doon na nag GCASH sya at na post agad yung payment, so nakapag print out sya ng form before the given appointment date.

prc’s web hosting is by far the cheapest, inconvenient amd super hassle i have ever experienced and it almost doesn’t load. i’ve been trying to set an appointment for my renewal since it will due on march this year. It’s been 3 days and i still couldnt get an appointment. i havent slept just to try the server upload time if its fast during 1-3am but it still doesnt load. I’m very frustrated and super disappointed. If the PRC couldn’t handdle a few thousands of Filipinos trying to access their website then I guess they should not opt to having online system for now. I hope they will find a better web hosting that can handle the amount of traffic that gets into their website and a much secure one as well. One good example is the site for NBI. The PRC authorities assigned for the website integration should ask help from that government agency (NBI). I’m still so frustrated right now that i have to go early tomorrow just to pay for someone do something just for me to get into their website when in fact I can do it if only their site was not this cheap at all!

As far as I know if you ever lost any IDs you should go to a Notary Public and get it notarized.

Definitely. Be wary na lang sa password natin at gawing unique to our emails and other websites we logged in. This is so sad because government (especially PRC) should at least be aware on privacy and sensitive information.

Yes. Mag-aapear lang yun pag bayad ka na. Kung sa PRC cashier ang payment, may mga instances na sila na mismo nagprprint ng form. Yung iba naman sasabihan ka na ikaw na magpa print.

Yes, magbayad ka on your appointment date and time. Make sure you have proof na merob ka na online appointment. Pagkabayad mo bibigyan ka ng form to fill-up.
This is not the process for the satellite branch of PRC at Robinsons Novaliches. I applied online and picked the option to pay there, expecting that I could get things done in one go. But NO, posted in their window (and repeated by the guy I talked to), the process is to log into your account and PRINT the claim form, then bring it back to them which is INSANE. The guy told me I could do it in a computer shop (I don’t think there’s any shop nearby in that area), but that is beside the point. The process is NUTS and the person who thought about this should be shot in the head. If they just put a computer and printer there and asked for payment to use it, I wouldn’t mind. OR if they at least indicated the process in the website it would have been better. I live more than an hour away from Robinson’s Novaliches, and I wasted more than two hours (back and forth) just to pay the fricking 450 pesos. Now I have to go back just to print the fricking printout (btw, PRC’s website is down right now so I can’t even access it and print the fricking thing) and get my ID.

Kung nakapagbayad ka through Landbank or GCASH at confirmed na ang payment mo, you can print the application form at yun ang dadalhin mo sa PRC. Kung through PRc cashier ang mode of payment mo, dun ka bibigyan ng form basta may appointment ka.

Yes, you can renew but you have to execute an undertaking and promise you will comply with it in the future. Just pay at the PRC on your appointment date. Provide proof that you have a valid appointment schedule. After payment, they will give you an application form to fill-up.

Hey, i had the same issues last Sep 21. Hindi rin ako makapag upload ng photo nung computer ang gamit ko thru google chrome.
Nagtry ako using my phone at nakapagupload naman ako successfully. Ang problema ko nalang ngayon is how to set an appointment, walang lumalabas na office sa drop-down list ng offices. “Select offices” lang pero wala namang selection.

I was trying to book an appointment for December 2018 at PICC, pero when I selected PICC as the PRC office, the schedule is full. Perhaps the system want to say that the schedule is full for August/September? I am not sure. Is there any way I could go about it? Do we know when the slots for December would open?
I think the system can be improved a lot. When setting an appointment, we should be asked of the preferred date first. Then it should show us which PRC offices have the capacity to accommodate us. It should not be the other way around. Thoughts?

I’m trying to renew my PRC ID. Sinunod ko lahat ng steps sa taas from 1 to 8. Pero pag pinili ko na ung PICC, walang scheduled date at time na pagpipilian at walang proceed na button. pano ko mababyadan ung fee and pano ko magpoproceed?
Nakapag register na po ako online.. May mga question po ako..
1. Ano po ba talagang size ng ID na dapat ipresent pag nandun na sa site? Passport size or 2×2 same nung naka upload sa LERIS?
2. Yung affidavit of execution for CPD required po ba ipa notaryo?
3. May renewal form po ba available online? Ipapaprocess ko lang kasi sa kapatid ko yung renewal ko.. Kaya gusto ko na mag fill out ng form.

Pwede kaso sa PICC na yung venue. Just bring your old card and other requirements.

same question here sa mabagal at bulok nilang sistema. Pahirap na nga sa CPD requirements, pahihirapan ka pa mag-renew at bibigyan ka pa ng penalty kpag late ka na nag-renew…

I tried magwalk-in twice na sa Sta. Rosa Robinsons, Laguna. Sabi ni ateng busy sa cellphone na nasa counter at mukhang tamad gawin ang serbisyo, online appointment is required.

Yes. It’s been a week na since nagdown ang site. As of now wala pa din statement ang PRC kung kelan maaayos.
