LET 2024 Application Guide: Requirements and Qualifications

LET 2024 Schedule– The Professional Regulation Commission conducts the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) for education graduates who aspire to become professional teachers. It is given twice a year, every March and September, in various testing centers nationwide.

The first step to taking the LET 2024 is to apply for the examination. To help you in this initial step, we provide a comprehensive guide on how to file your LET online application using the PRC’s new LERIS, or the Licensure Examination and Registration Information System. This new online portal offers hassle-free services, from registration to payment, effectively avoiding long waiting times.

LET 2024 Schedule

According to PRC Resolution No. 1728 Series of 2023, the 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers will be conducted on the following dates:

Qualification for LET

Anyone who wants to take the LET must possess the following criteria:

  • He or she must be a citizen of the Philippines or an alien whose country has reciprocity with the Philippines as prescribed by RA No. 7836 as amended by RA 9293;
  • Must be 18 years old and older;
  • Must be of good moral character and has not been convicted by final judgment by a court for an offense involving moral turpitude.

An applicant must have a BSEEd degree or its equivalent if he or she is aspiring to be a professional basic education teacher. Similarly, a bachelor’s degree in education or its equivalent is required for applicants who aim to be licensed secondary education teachers. Applicants with an equivalent degree must have to take at least 18 units in Professional Education. Those with bachelor’s degrees in arts and sciences with at least ten units in professional education and holders of Early Childhood Education (BECED) degree or its equivalent are also qualified to take the exam.

For applicants who want to become licensed teachers to teach vocational and two-year technical courses, a bachelor’s degree in the field of specialization or its equivalent is required and must have at least 18 units in professional education to qualify.

LET 2024 Online Application Guide

Prepare the following information before anything else:

  • You need an email address. Make sure you have access to it. Do not use random email addresses created using generators.
  • A mobile number
  • 2 x 2 ID picture in .jpg format. You must be in a collared attire on a white background and must be less than 6 months old. Do not wear eyeglasses and make sure the ears are visible in the photo.
  • A community tax certificate or cedula
  • And other pertinent information including personal information, date of college graduation and the likes.

STEP 1. Use a computer with a good internet connection and access LERIS through http://online.prc.gov.ph/. If you are doing this for the first time, go to the REGISTER tab then use the scroll bar to read the Terms of Service. Click the I Agree button to continue. If you already have an account, sign in to the system using your login details.

STEP 2. Fill out the registration form with your personal information, then click the REGISTER button.

STEP 3. Fill out the necessary spaces to complete your account profile. Enter your personal and other pertinent information. You can use the drop-down menu if necessary. Scroll to the bottom of the page, then save your information.

STEP 4. Upload your 2×2 picture to complete your profile information. It must be of good quality and adhere to the photo requirements as indicated above. Doing so will avoid delay or disapproval of your online exam application.

STEP 5. After uploading the photo, click the SELECT TRANSACTION button at the upper-right side of the screen. A pop-up will appear asking you to select your transaction. Click the EXAMINATION tab and fill out the necessary information. Click the Proceed button to continue to the next step.

STEP 6. On the next page, select your preferred PRC Regional Office and your appointment date. Choose your preferred payment option to complete your transaction. You have the option to pay the fee personally at the PRC Office, through GCash, Maya, debit card, credit card, and bank payment. Applicants who opt to pay through PRC cashiers shall be required to pay and transact at their chosen appointment place and appointment date only.

A pop-up message will appear, indicating the transaction summary. Click the submit button.

STEP 7. After payment, go back to your account, click the EXISTING TRANSACTION tab, and check your payment status. Print the application form to finish the LET online application process.

STEP 8. Go to your preferred PRC office on the appointment page on your chosen appointment date. Bring the printed application form and the required documents.

What should I do after the online application?

Proceed to the PRC office you selected on the appointment page on your chosen appointment date. Do not forget to bring the documentary requirements listed below.

For first-time LET takers, please prepare the following documents and submit them to PRC on your appointment date:

  • Printed appointment schedule;
  • Original and photocopy of Transcript of Records (TOR), date of graduation, the seal of the school, with scanned picture and remarks “For Board Examination Purposes Only” (CHED recognition and permit to operate for graduates of new schools or programs);
  • Original and photocopy of the birth certificate issued by the PSA;
  • Marriage contract issued by the PSA for married female applicants (original and photocopy);
  • Original and photocopy of any government-issued ID.

If your school is not exempted from the issuance of a SO (Special Order), present a photocopy of the SO duly signed by the CHED.

Requirements for LET Repeaters

Here are the requirements if you fail the previous LET and wants to take the March or September 2024 Licensure Examination for Teachers:

  • Printed appointment schedule;
  • Original Notice of Admission (previous exam);
  • Original and photocopy of any government-issued ID.
  • If the NOA is not available, you can present a photocopy of your Transcript of Records.

I graduated 2006 and i take the exam once, I am Bachelor of Secondary Education major in general science, if in=m going to take exam ano mga need? ilang years na rin ako ndi nagtuturo. kelangan ko po ba magrefresher course kasi medyo matagal na at may bago nlang curriculum. thanks sa pagsagot sa querry ko

Hello.
Nakapag-online na po ako nung January 10, kaso di ako nakapili ng payment option. di rin ako nakapagprint ng form. mag-uulit sana ako kaso di ko na gusto ung schedule na pumalit. pwede ko pa ba makuha ung dating schedule ko?

good day! hindi po nailagay yung application number ko sa application form ko nung nagfile ako kaya i tried to open my gmail account na ginamit ki nung nag apply ako eh hindi ko na ma open kasi i forgot my password. Ano po ang gagawin ko kasi kung pupunta na naman po ako sa prc santiago sayang nman po yung pamasahe tapos oras eh yung applicatiin number lang po ang kailangan ko. Hope u can help me..thanks
