The Philippine Science High School System (PSHS) announced the official results of the PSHS- National Competetive Examination (PSHS-NCE) for Academic Year 2020-2021. The PSHS or popularly called Pisay, conducted the 2019 National Competetive Examination on October 19, 2019 to thousands of elementary students nationwide. These young individuals are all vying for a limited slot in the best science high school in the country today.
PSHS-NCE 2019 Result
Hon. FORTUNATO DELA PEÑA, Secretary of the Department of Science and Technology and Chair of the PSHS System Board of Trustees, announces the names of the successful qualifiers to the Philippine Science High School System (PSHSS) Search for Scholars for 2020. Of the 30,986 applicants, 1,540* examinees successfully hurdled the one-step screening administered on October 2019.

The qualifiers have to IMMEDIATELY contact the Registrar or the Campus Director of the PSHS Campus they are qualified to enroll. Visit www.pshs.edu.ph or www.dost.gov.ph for more information on early enrolment. The deadline for slot confirmation/ reservation of principal qualifiers is on January 31, 2020 for Main Campus qualifiers, and on February 18, 2020 for regional campus qualifiers. The specific schedule of other enrolment activities shall be announced by the respective campuses. Alternate Qualifiers will be called starting on February 19, 2020.
Previous Exam
On the 2018 PSHS-NCE, 32,651 applicants took their chances but only 1,470 examinees successfully passed the first step of the screening process. The entrance examination was conducted on October 20, 2018 in 134 testing centers nationwide. The official result was released on December 18, 2019 or nearly 2 months after the examination.
PSHS-NCE Overview
The National Competitive Examination is the entrance examination of the Philippine Science High School. The exam is a scholastic aptitude test designed to measure the scientific, quantitative, abstract and verbal abilities of the applicants before they are accepted as state scholars. To qualify for the exam, an elementary student must be on the upper 10% of the class or having a final grade of at least 85% particularly in the subjects of Science and Mathematics. He or she must be a Filipino citizen with no pending or approved application as immigrant to any foreign country. For this year’s NCE, the applicant must be born on or after August 1, 2003 and must have at least a satisfactory rating (or its equivalent) in his/her Character Rating in his/her report card (SY 2016 – 2017). Lastly, he or she must be in good health and fit to undergo a rigorous academic program.

pwede po malaman yung ibang pang nakapasa na hindi po posted? kasi ang total passer is 1,540 pero ang nakapost lang is 1,404…ibig sbihin may 136 passers na d po posted.
Yung iba po nirerequest nila na wag i-post yung details nila, kaya wala po sila sa list kahit na nakapasa.
Hindi po ma post yung 136.sila po ung nag request na hindi e post name nila due to dpa.
