June 2020 Criminology Board Exam Coverage, Requirements

In accordance with the Republic Act No. 11131, also known as the Philippine Criminology Profession Act of 2018, any person who wants to practice his profession in criminology is required to pass a licensure examination given by the PRC’s Professional Regulatory Board of Criminology. To comply with this law, the PRC is conducting the Criminologist Licensure Examination (CLE) twice a year. If you are interested to take the upcoming CLE this 2019, here are the schedule of exams, the dates of opening of the online processing and the deadline for filing of the exam application.


Criminology Board Exam 2020 Schedule

The Criminologists licensure examinations will be held on the following dates at various testing centers in Manila, Zamboanga, and PRC Regional Offices nationwide:

CLE Online Application

The Commission is now strictly implementing the Licensure Examination and Registration Information System (LERIS) for examination, license renewal and initial registration applications. Applicants must first register to the system and secure an appointment for the submission of your exam application. To accomplish this task, you can follow our PRC online exam application guide.

Requirements

Here is the list of requirements for Criminology graduates who want to take the board exam to become a licensed criminologist as required by PRC:

  • Must be a graduate of B.S. Criminology
  • NBI Clearance (for first-timers and repeaters)
  • RTC Clearance
  • An original and photocopy of the birth certificate on security paper issued by the PSA.
  • For married female applicants, please provide an original and photocopy of marriage certificate issued by the PSA.
  • Original and Photocopies of Transcript of Records w/ CHED Special Order (SO) and date of graduation (Government and PAASCU, PACUCOA and ACSC-AAI Level II-IV accredited schools are exempted from S.O (B).
  • Three (3) Certificate of Good Moral Character from the following: (First Timer & Repeater )
  1. Barangay Chairman
  2.  Parish Priest
  3. Dean of School
  4. Employer
  • Four (4) pieces 1.77” x 1.37” (passport size) pictures (attire w/ collar and sleeves). Front view on a plain background with complete name tag (ex. DELA CRUZ, JUAN JR. P.).
  • Community Tax certificate w/ photocopy.
  • PRC Documentary Stamp (P20.00)
  • Window Envelope w/ PRC letterhead
  • Payment – Php 900.00

General Instructions:

  1. You may verify your school/building assignments at the PRC official website 2 to 3 working days before the date of the examination.
  2. Be punctual. Go to your school/building assignment before 6:30 AM on the first day of examination to verify the room and seat number. Late examinees will not be admitted.
  3. Wear the required attire on every examination day. For male examinees, wear a white polo shirt with collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent pants or slacks, and shoes. For female, please wear a white blouse or a white polo shirt with a collar (without any seal, logo, or mark), decent pants, slacks or a skirt.
  4. Bring the following on the examination day:
  • Notice of Admission
  • Applicant’s stub
  • Official Receipt
  • 1 piece metered-stamped window mailing envelope
  • two or more pencils (no.2)
  • ballpen with black ink only
  • 1 piece long brown envelope
  • 1 piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope (for keeping your valuables and other allowed items).
  • Non-programmable calculators

The following items are not allowed inside the examination room/premises:

  1. Books, notes, review materials, and other printed materials containing coded data/information.formula.
  2. Programmable calculators
  3. Smartwatches, cellphones, earplugs, transmitters, portable computers, and other electronic gadgets or devices which may be used for communication purposes.
  4. Bags of any kind.
  5. Other examination aides not stated in the CLE program.

  3. Updated po ba talaga dapat ang mga clearances (RTC/ NBI)?
    Hindi na po ba pwedeng gamitin for CLE application (June 2019 Exam) ang clearances issued last year kahit within 6 months naman po.. thank you!

  4. for absent hindi naka pag exam last 2018 then nag filing ulit for 2019, need po ba updated yung GMC, Brgy clearance, NBI, etc?

  7. Pano pag nagkapalit kayo ng answer sheet ? At ayun na ang pinagamit sayo . Sabi naman pwede naman daw yun sabi ng taga PRC gusto ko lang makasigurado kung dba makakaapekto sa result or possible ba na magkapalit ng result ?

  8. Magandang araw po. Saan po makakahanap ng “metered-stamped window mailing envelope”? Nagpunta ako sa post office dito sa amin pero wala daw sila nun. Nagpunta din po ako sa PhilPost pero ordinaryong stamp lang po yung ibinigay. Sabi nung postmaster dito sa amin, iba daw yung metered stamp.

Ma’am/Sir, Kailangan pa po ba ang Merriage Contract ng magulang para makakuha ng course na Criminology? kasi po, napanganak na po ako bago pa man nagpakasal ang mga magulang ko,” Grade 12 palang po kasi ako at Crim. ang gusto kong kuning course sa College, pero yun daw po ang problema.’ I hope na sagutin niyo po, Thank You’

  10. Hi po maam / sir maam kailangan po ba updated ang TOR for board pra mka pg file sa PRC criminology board exam po nasa manila po kc ako nw nag wrk tapos school ko nasa mindanao po..my boad exam purposes nmn nka lagay sa TOR ko pero nung june 2017 pa po ito need advice po

    Good Day po.. Ask ko lang po kung pwd pa po gamitin yung NBI ko po na kinuha last June lang for filing, kasi hindi pa po nmn expired..,then ang copy ko ayy yung personal copy na NBI ko pwd na po ba yun.. kahit hnd na kumuha ng panibago para sa filing po ngayon..

  15. Hi po. tanung kulang po pwedi papo ba ako mag retake ng crim board exam. 31 years napo kasi ako, ng january 01,2018 lang ako nag 31.pwedi pa kaya ako mag retake. first time ko mag take nung december 2017.at di pinalad. Sana po masagot nyo.

  18. Naghit po ako sa nbi. April 26 pa po daw makukuha. Ihohonor po ba ng PRC yung certification fron NBI? And ano po kailangan talaga court clearance from RTC o MTC?

  19. Gud day sir. Ask ko po if kailangan ko po ba pang kumuha uli ng TOR? may tor po ako pero nong 2014 ko pa sya kinuha, tapos ngayon lang ako magtatake ng board exam.Salamat po

        Previous Notice of Admission/Official Receipt or Report of Rating

        For married female applicants, original and photocopy of Marriage Certificate issued by the National Statistics Office (NSO) in security paper (SECPA) and photocopy of Marriage Certificate from LOCAL CIVIL REGISTRAR if NSO copy is not legible

        Three (3) pieces identical passport size picture in white background with complete name tag

        Current Community Tax Certificate (Cedula)

        NBI Clearance or Police and Court Clearance·

        Three (3) Good Moral Character Certifications (barangay, church and school/employer)
